Aidan Boase - Piano
Melbourne based pianist, Aidan Boase, is in high demand as a collaborative artist. He currently holds an Associate Artist position at Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) and has performed in festivals across Europe and in the US. He was a 2015 fellow at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and in 2016 was a prize winner in the Virtuoso & Bel Canto Chamber Music Competition in Lucca, Italy.
As a concerto soloist Aidan has performed with orchestras around the country, including the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria.
Aidan was born in Perth, Western Australia. He completed a Bachelor of Music with honours at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), studying with Ukranian pianist Anna Sleptsova. He received the Cecilia Daff piano prize and won WAAPA’s Warana Concerto Competition three times. He has since been a member of the piano teaching staff st WAAPA. Following his undergraduate degree Aidan made his first move to Melbourne to train at ANAM, where he studied with Timothy Young. Whilst there he was twice a finalist in the ANAM Concerto Competition and won First Prize and the 3MBS Listeners’ Choice award in the Chamber Music Competition.
