Wonderfully eclectic music for clarinet, violin and piano. Menotti’s vivacious and lyrical Trio elevates with operatic flair before a moment of quiet introspection in Sculthorpe’s Night Song and Brahms’ gorgeous Gestilte Sehnsucht (Assuaged Longing). The Suite for Trio by Aram Arutiunian concludes in a fervour of joyous Armenian colours.
